How to use this guide:

Welcome to the WindyCon Food Guide!

There are well over 100 restaurants within a very short drive of the hotel. This guide is meant to be comprehensive, not complete. In instances where there are multiple locations of the same restaurant, only the closest one has been included. The only exception to this is McDonald’s. Both the location in the mall and another (with 24 hour drive through) are listed.

There is an alphabetical listing providing not only the name, address, phone number and type of cuisine, but also additional information (i.e., hours, accepted credit cards, whether or not they deliver or take reservations, and a price range). Due to the sheer number of eateries, the area has been divided into zones. There is a large overview map, and then a map of each of the 6 zones. Much of Zone 3 is the area immediately around the hotel. Even the farthest parts of it are within walking distance (if you are feeling ambitious).

There is also an alphabetical listing by type of cuisine. If you are looking for Chinese, for example, this is the place to look. There is a separate ’services’ listing. This is where to find a list of places open for breakfast (open before 10:30am) or having a late night kitchen (serving after 11pm). This is also your source for eateries that deliver or participate with Take Out Taxi. When using Take Out Taxi, your order is placed with Take Out Taxi, not with the restaurant. Your order can be placed online or over the phone. The Services listing is also the place to find places that take reservations or call ahead seating. This can be particularly useful when looking for somewhere for a large party for Saturday night dinner.

Credit card abbreviations are A (American Express), DC (Diners Club), DI (Discover), M (MasterCard), and V (Visa).

This listing was accurate at press time. Due to current economic conditions, we strongly encourage you to check operating hours and prices. This complete guide is available at foodguide.memnison.com. We encourage you to leave us messages about your experiences at these restaurants and also about the usefulness of this guide. We envision this as a work in progress to be updated for future conventions. Happy Dining!
